Life Drawing 101

An early piece from my first year life drawing class in the Sheridan Animation program (about 20 years ago, yikes!). Our assignment was to duplicate a poster showing the muscle system of the human body. As you can see, it was an exercise in detail and patience. I was also obsessed with labelling as many of the muscles as possible.

This was drawn with black grease pencil, white pencil crayon and a felt tip pen for the labels.

Muscles were something I always had difficulty with. I always preferred drawing the skeleton.
